In May 2024, Blackthorn & Bloom had the privilege of creating bespoke floral arrangements for Natalie and Anthony’s wedding at the stunning Goosedale in Papplewick. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and the vibrant energy of spring, and working with Natalie to bring her floral vision to life was an absolute joy.
From our very first consultation, Natalie shared her dream for a fresh spring palette of white, lavender, and green. These colors perfectly reflected the season and the serene countryside setting of Goosedale. We worked closely with her to develop a design that honored her vision while adding a touch of zest to elevate the overall aesthetic.
To complement her palette, we suggested the inclusion of soft lemon hues. This subtle yet impactful pop of color added warmth and brightness, creating a harmonious balance with the cool tones of lavender and green. Natalie loved the idea, and it became a defining feature of the wedding’s floral design.
The bridal bouquet was a true centerpiece of the day, a carefully crafted arrangement of delicate roses, sweet peas, and lisianthus paired with blousy white peonies and lush green foliage. To weave in the zesty lemon tones, we included pale yellow daisies and buttery-yellow roses. The result was a bouquet that was fresh, elegant, and uniquely Natalie.
For the bridal party, we designed complementary bouquets and buttonholes, ensuring that each piece reflected the overall palette while maintaining its individuality. The reception space at Goosedale was brought to life with draped backdrops, table arrangements, and accent pieces that echoed the springtime vibrancy.
Natalie and Anthony’s wedding was a testament to the magic of collaboration. Natalie trusted our expertise and embraced our creative suggestions, which allowed us to deliver florals that exceeded her expectations. Seeing the joy on her face when she first saw her bouquet was one of the highlights of our year.
